‘Safe’ Schools Under Investigation

UPDATE / CLARIFICATION 29/2/16 2pm EST

Our original post referred to a comment made at the Stop Safe Schools Coalition suggesting that Professor Donna Cross had shown "long time support and alliances with both the Safe Schools Coalition and LaTrobe University Melbourne, creators of the concepts and authors of the program". We think there has been some honest confusion here: Professor Cross does have connection to the Safe Schools Hub, and like the Safe Schools Coalition it is funded by the Commonwealth Government - but as best we can establish, it is a separate organisation with very different content. The Safe Schools Hub contains a lot of valid anti-bullying measures and we all support that; it is the sexual radicalisation of Safe Schools Coalition that we oppose.

While it would perhaps give valid concern to parents that a person tasked with reviewing Safe Schools material is connected with an organisation that includes the name "Safe Schools", we need to avoid confusing the two. Our apologises for sharing in this confusion with the original post.

We reaffirm our "hopeful confidence" in the two experts placed in charge of this enquiry, that they will be impartial and rigorous in dealing with this distressing matter, digging deep into the offending material and doing justice to the serious concerns of parents.

There's been a lot of talk about 'Safe' Schools lately. Here's the story so far...

Last week it was revealed that the person who set up the 'Safe' Schools program has a Marxist view of the world:

Roz Ward, from La Trobe University’s Australian Research Centre in Sex Health and Society, told the Melbourne 2015 Marxism Conference, “In 2010 … I was the person who set up Safe Schools Coalition in Victoria” (SSCV). This program has now been expanded to become the federally funded Safe Schools Coalition Australia (SSCA).' Read the full article here.

This is a bombshell for the "Safe Schools" radical indoctrination programme. Pat Byrne analyses the Marxist inspiration of the co-author of the Safe Schools material, Roz Ward. He notes,

"It’s in the context of a sexual revolution, in the image and likeness of a Marxist political and economic revolution, that Ward sees her SSCV (Safe Schools Coalition Victoria) program, which is now the Australia-wide SSCA program in around 490 schools...

Marxism is her solution. “Marxism offers both the hope and the strategy needed to create a world where human sexuality, gender and how we relate to our bodies can blossom in extraordinarily new and amazing ways that we can only try to imagine today, because Marxism has a theory of social change,” Ward says."

On February 21, Barnaby Joyce voiced his opposition to an $8 million taxpayer-funded program that teaches children as young as 11 about sexual orientation and transgender issues, saying kids should feel safe when they go to the bathroom. Read the Full article here.

That same day, Genderless Marriage advocates proposed that 16-17 year olds who have completed the indoctrination program should be allowed to vote in the Plebiscite. Read the full article here.

On Tuesday 23 February, we raised the problem that the 'feelings' of transgender people were being considered far more important than the safety of women and children. Overseas, where genderless bathrooms have already been introduced, we are already seeing assaults on the rise. You don't need to be a genius to see that coming from a mile away. Read more here.

Finally, Malcolm Turnbull has requested an investigation into the 'Safe' Schools program after concerns were raised in parliament by Cory Bernardi and Andrew Hastie. Professor Donna Cross from Curtin University WA has been appointed as a key investigator.

The "Safe Schools Coalition" / Minus18 web pages changed contentious page content and removed offensive links from the government funded site AFTER the enquiry into the organization and "anti-bullying" program was announced. The two key links removed were to "Danae of Holland" and "The Tool Shed", sites that provide further links to the same kind of X rated materials. Children are encouraged by Safe Schools to access these sites at school and home with the help of another article on how to  "cover your tracks" while browsing - which is still available on the MINUS18 site.

On Wednesday 24 February we witnessed politics at its lowest, when opposition leader, Bill Shorten called Cory Bernadi a 'homophobe,' simply for airing the concerns of thousands of Australians about the damaging impact of the 'Safe' Schools program. Read more here.

The next day, Labor Senator Joe Bullock called for the program to be suspended. Will Bill Shorten resort to the same, childish name calling of members of his own party? Read more here.

Every parent needs to watch this clear and powerful analysis of the 'Safe' Schools Program by George Christensen MP. Please SHARE with all other parents on your networks.
Warning: contains graphic content and it's NSFW. Which makes you wonder... if it's NSFW, how on earth is it 'safe' for schools?

'John Howard has sounded an alarm about the culture war in Australia — warning that people are being “cowed” against stating their views on issues and that a dangerous anti-religious push has emerged — and branded as “pernicious” the Victorian government’s hostility to religious connections in schools.'  Read more here.

What does the 'Safe' Schools program have to do with marriage? If genderless marriage is made legal in Australia, genderless education for our children is part of the package deal. In other words 'Speak now, or (soon you will be forced to) forever hold your peace.'
